Arrival, cliff-side welcome, first dusk on the deck
You are collected in Colombo in a Lux SUV and driven up into the highlands on a scenic route to Haputale. At Haputale, a safari jeep meets you at 1 pm and climbs the final stretch. By mid-afternoon you are at the lodge, welcomed with a cold towel and a welcome drink on the deck. Anke and Naveen walk you through your pod, the trails and the day's rhythm.
An easy afternoon of reading, a plunge, or a short forest wander. Dinner is a slow, lantern-lit, multi-course meal on the cliff, cooked over fire, with your hosts quietly refilling glasses.

Secret waterfall hike, fireside dinner under the stars
A quiet dawn on the deck with coffee and the valley below. After breakfast, a guided hike to a secret waterfall hidden deep in the forest, with a hosted afternoon snack laid out for you at the pools before the walk back.
Back at the pod for an unhurried late afternoon, hammock time and a warm shower. Dinner is served around the fire, and the night ends with a nightcap under a full sweep of stars.

Sunrise, slow breakfast, farewell
One last sunrise on the deck, most guests skip an alarm and simply follow the light. A long, unhurried breakfast is set on the cliff, followed by an optional naturalist-led forest walk on request if you have the energy for it.
After a late brunch, Anke and Naveen load the jeep and you are transferred back to Haputale or onward to your next Lux Ceylon stay.
