Coastal expressway straight to the beach base, with no long transfer day built into the schedule. Your chauffeur meets you at arrivals and the drive down to Cape Weligama takes you past the coastline with next to no stops needed. By late afternoon you are settled into your clifftop suite, and the rest of the day unwinds at its own pace, a slow dinner by the water and an early night, the first proper sundowner of the trip.

A short thirty minute drive brings you into Galle Fort for the morning, ramparts, boutiques, and streets that have barely changed in two centuries, before a long, unhurried lunch inside the walls. By late afternoon you're back at Cape Weligama in time for sunset on the clifftop.

Between November and April, the morning is given over to whale watching off Mirissa, a short drive from the resort and back well before lunch. Outside that window, a private yacht charter takes its place. Either way, you're back at Cape Weligama by early afternoon for beach and pool time with no fixed agenda, before a relaxed dinner on the clifftop closes the day.

The morning is left open by design, a drive inland to tea country, a tour of Geoffrey Bawa's own garden at Lunuganga, or simply nothing at all. By afternoon, a short transfer takes you into Galle Fort itself for a change of pace and setting. The evening is spent settling into Fort life, an evening walk along the ramparts and dinner within the walls.

There's no set plan for this day, coffee on the terrace, then time for the beach nearby or more of the Fort, whichever appeals, with the afternoon open for shopping or a spa treatment before a final dinner inside the Fort closes out the stay.

A light breakfast and an unhurried pack-up lead into a private transfer back to the airport. If your flight is later in the day, a day-room can be arranged so the last few hours aren't spent in transit.
